Peer Review Process and Policy

Reviewing Process

The Journal Salutogenic Architecture uses the Open Journal System (OJS) to assess every piece of content submitted. Some proposals are rejected without being submitted for additional peer review because of priority, lack of novelty, or scientific inadequacies. A judgment on such papers is normally made soon, within 2-4 weeks. The remaining manuscripts are subjected to at least two double-blind peer assessments. Authors are encouraged to recommend qualified independent reviewers. A review might take up to two months to complete.

Once the article has been reviewed and the reviewers' comments have been received, the Editorial Board makes the final decision on publication, which normally takes 2-4 weeks.

Authors must adjust the article in response to comments or provide a reasonable justification for ignoring some comments. An article must be revised within two weeks to six weeks (in exceptional circumstances) of being returned to the author. Following the review, corrected articles should be submitted to the Editorial Board via OJS, along with thorough responses written for the reviewers regarding the adjustments performed. Corrections must be made in a different text color.

The Editorial Board is the expert authority in making decisions on the rejection or acceptance of all research, review, and similar papers submitted to the Journal. The Editorial Board's judgment is final in all aspects, and no additional comments or communications from authors are expected in this regard.

It should be noted that the aforementioned policy could change with or without notice to the journal's authors/contributors. The decision of the journal regarding the management of a manuscript at each stage is considered final.

 Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a serious violation of truthfulness since it includes stealing intellectual property or taking credit for the work of others. The writer has the final responsibility for plagiarism.

The Journal of Salutogenic Architecture supports authors' rights and checks allegations of plagiarism or misinterpretation of published articles. CrossRef, a duplication-checking software, is used to examine submitted publications for duplicates. If plagiarism is suspected, the journal's editorial team has the authority to take action, including, but not limited to, publishing an erratum or correction; withdrawing the work, and contacting the provost of the author's institution and/or the related academic bodies or societies.

Self-plagiarism is considered unethical by the majority of editors and reviewers. As a result, without the consent of the copyright holder, an author cannot reproduce his or her own content for a new manuscript. Options include employing quotations around brief sentences of one's own material and citing relevant sources.

Articles submitted to the Journal of Salutogenic Architecture must not include any results that have previously been published in any journals or books. Any suspected duplicate publications should be reported to editors.

The Journal adheres to the single submission principle, which states that only one manuscript should be submitted to one journal at a time, with no resubmissions allowed until a written rejection is received. The editors must have exclusivity over the manuscript. This principle does not preclude consideration for publication of any work that has previously been rejected by another journal.
